what I've been up to

The past few weeks have mostly involved a quick pace and late nights, reading, writing, travelling, meeting deadlines, presenting papers, closely avoiding mishaps, encountering full mishaps. I wouldn't call it easy, exactly. But the robins are bright-breasted, and the wind is crisp, and the sky this morning peeked blue through the blinds above my head and promised a day of light. So I got up and went to work.

  1. I collect trips – triplets. A triplet is a trine of words that is spelt (I once pulled an article of mine from The New Yorker because the editor insisted on changing spelt to spelled. Their lose.) differently but pronounced the same. With over 40 trips in my collection I have one of the most extensive collections ever assembled.

The above was our final exam in Senior High School English. We were given 30 mins. Less than 10 entries and you received a failing mark. I got 19.

Hope this piques your interest in the wonderful world of words.

    Wondrous is the day,
