blueberry tea and the like

It's one of those days that are so muggy and impossible, I don't know quite what to do with myself. This morning Josh and I went out in the blinding thunderstorm to do a little errand-running, which included 99-cent lattes at Dunkin Donuts and cheese-filled croissants, Balkan-style, from a market with an uncommonly well stocked Eastern European aisle.

This week I read Madwoman in the Attic (Gilbert and Gubar), Sexism and God Talk (Reuther), and am trying to get into In Memory of Her (Schussler Fiorenza). It's not like I really have a choice--it's read 150 pages of In Memory of Her today or bust (and the remaining 150 tomorrow). But really, the sky is telling me it might even clear up this afternoon, so why would I want to do that?

  1. a pretty busy week... Good luck with the Schussler-Fiorenza. I haven't read that book carefully yet, but I can warn you: she likes making up her own words. She's brilliant, so you can give her that at least.
