late five senses!

Oh, dear, five-sense Friday completely slipped my mind! That's because yesterday I was typing, then laundering and cooking, then toddler-playing, then girls grouping, then sleeping, with nary a moment to spare.

But here we are on Saturday, and I have emphatically slowed the pace. Yesterday's senses were a dash and a blur, so I'll stick with today's:

feeling: the fuzzy throw blanket I bought in Ikea in Greece, which has lived with us since then and always makes me feel that I am home.

smelling: chai tea brewing in the kitchen. Also, the absolutely Lushious gift the ladies surprised me with last night, which promises lavender relaxation in my future.

tasting: English muffin pizza for lunch, and magical fudge for an afternoon snack.

hearing: the unusual quiet of a slowed-down day.

seeing: a light at the end of the tunnel!

  1. Cindy,
I'm glad there is a light at the end of your tunnel. I've been thinking about you-- and hope that this process will be a confirmation of your place in the discussion. Jeremy and I really want to get back to Chicago sometime-- I would love to see some of your work. Blessings.
