seeing: early sunlight, and then clouds rolling in; pigeons winging their wide way to the top of the yellow brick church at the corner; tiny white and purple flowers showing their faces in a nearby yard
smelling: dirt and green leaves; rain on the way; vanilla candles lit in prayer and hope
hearing: J and a favorite 3-year-old playing guitars together in the dining room
tasting: two cups of tea, and counting
feeling: anticipation
