things I loved about yesterday

1. meeting Josh for lunch and seeing three different friends from three different contexts in the space of half an hour

2. the man with the bouquet wrapped in green tissue paper buzzing at an apartment door, smiling and half catching my smile

3. the bows tied on another house's fenceposts

4. watching undergrads in ponytails cram for their finals and say to each other, "You'll be fine"

5. peppermint green tea, warm tumblers, sweeping all the salt away and cozying into home
