seeing: longer days with light stretching itself from morning to night; layers of winter on the back sidewalk, thick slicks of ice betraying a warmer day, visible in the shape of our footprints on the newer snow
hearing: quiet, quiet days
smelling: the pomegranate-rosemary candle on the bookshelf; snow; pages in books
feeling: a draft from the front window; cozy in blue jeans and sweaters day after day; spring fever
